JAMES THE JAGUAR: A STAR IS PURRED

James the Jaguar arrived on set early—because true stars don’t walk in, they appear. Wrapped in a velvet smoking jacket, he lounged in the mansion that looked suspiciously like his own. Success, darling.
Between takes, James kept drifting into tiny daydreams of his beloved Jaguar XKR—chrome gleaming, engine purring, curves as smooth as his whiskers. Sometimes he’d pause mid-line, stare off dramatically, and the crew would whisper, “He’s acting!" But no. He was imagining polishing the headlights again.
After a twenty-minute “exhausting” work burst, he demanded a refreshment, nibbled one perfect biscuit, and slipped into another XKR fantasy—moonlit roads, wind in his fur, pure luxury.
Back on set, he delivered every line with the precision of his favourite engine. The director cried. James took credit.
Finally, his chauffeur rolled up with the real star of the night: the Jaguar XKR.
“One doesn’t drive oneself home, darling,” James purred as he slid inside.
Later, tucked into bed, he drifted off dreaming—of the purr, the shine, the goodbye, and the glorious view as his XKR drove away.
